How to update stockpile items?

Once a stockpile is set up, keeping it up to date is essential for efficient logistics and coordination. FoxStock offers several ways to update inventory data. Whether manually, by uploading screenshots, or by using the FoxStock Overlay directly in-game. This guide explains how each method works and how to ensure your stockpile information stays accurate.

Accurate stockpile data reflects your real supply situation. When stockpiles stay up to date, your team can make informed decisions, avoid redundant supply runs, and coordinate operations with confidence.

FoxStock provides three methods for updating stockpile contents:

  • Submitting a screenshot of a stockpile’s inventory from the in-game Map View
  • Manually adjusting item quantities through the web interface
  • Using the FoxStock Overlay, which lets you update inventories directly in the game

Submitting a screenshot

FoxStock can automatically scan stockpile screenshots taken from the Foxhole in-game map, quickly converting them into item lists without manual input.

Take a valid screenshot

  1. Open Foxhole and go to the Map View.
  2. Hover over a seaport or storage depot to show its inventory popup.
  3. Use TAB to cycle between stockpiles if multiple popups are available.
  4. Take a screenshot of this window.

Leave a bit of space around the black stockpile window when taking the screenshot. A clean, unobstructed image improves recognition accuracy.

Upload it to FoxStock

  1. Navigate to the stockpile you want to update.
  2. Click Stockpile items screenshot to upload your image.
  3. Select the screenshot from your device.

Review and submit

FoxStock will scan the screenshot automatically. After processing:

  • Detected items and quantities will appear on screen.
  • You can correct any values manually.
  • Click Submit to apply changes, Clear to cancel, or Add to include missing items.

Manual updates

Manual updates are useful when the screenshot scan is inaccurate or when you want full control over item quantities.

Open manual update mode

  1. Navigate to the stockpile.
  2. Click the hand icon next to the screenshot upload field.

Edit the inventory

A form will appear, pre-filled with the stockpile’s current contents. You can:

  • Adjust quantities
  • Remove items
  • Add new ones

Save your changes

Click Submit to update the stockpile, or Clear to discard changes.

Using the FoxStock Overlay

FoxStock includes a companion overlay application that allows in-game inventory updates without taking screenshots or switching to the website. It requires a one-time setup using an access token.

Download the overlay

You can download the FoxStock Overlay using the link in the left navigation bar, on the bottom left corner.

The overlay is a third-party application developed independently from Foxhole. Ensure you download it from the official FoxStock website to avoid malicious software!

Your PC might flag the overlay as suspicious since the binary hasn’t been signed with an appropriate software editor certificate, which we are not planning on doing for now. At the moment, the code for the overlay is closed source, but we are considering open-sourcing it in the future. If you are concerned about security, please reach out to us via our Discord .

Create an access token

To link the overlay to your FoxStock account:

  1. Click your profile image on the FoxStock website.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Generate an access token with permissions:
    • stockpiles:READ
    • stockpiles:WRITE
  4. Copy and save the token for later.

Do not share your access token with anyone. It grants access to your stockpiles and can be used to make changes on your behalf. We are not responsible for any misuse of your token.

Launch the overlay app

There is no installation step needed, the overlay binary can be run directly.

The app can take some time to start. Please wait until the overlay icon appears in your task bar before proceeding to the next step!

Connect the overlay

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + X to open its configuration menu.
  2. Follow the instructions and paste your access token.

Update stockpiles in-game

To submit updates using the overlay:

  1. Open Foxhole and view a stockpile inventory in the game map.
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + X.
  3. Select the area around the inventory popup.

  1. The overlay will show stockpiles you have access to.
  2. Choose which stockpile(s) should receive the update and confirm.

Change the overlay user

If you need to switch to a different access token:

  1. Open your %appdata% folder.
  2. Delete or rename the foxstock-overlay directory.
  3. Reopen the overlay and configure it again using the new token.

Keeping stockpiles fresh is critical for accurate recommendations, efficient logistics, and coordinated operations. Update frequently! Especially after major supply movements.
