What is an organisation?
Organisations in FoxStock are entities that allow you to group, manage, and share multiple stockpiles and users. An organisation can represent a logistics group, a clan, a regiment, or any team of players working together in Foxhole. Of course, an image is worth a thousand words, so here’s a simple diagram to illustrate the concept:
Organisations are made up of members who can have different roles and permissions within the organisation, and also owns stockpiles and networks that members can add and manage based on their permissions.
We will learn more detail about roles and permissions later in the Create organisation roles section.
We will tackle the concept of networks in more detail later, but for now, think of them as logical groupings of stockpiles and other networks (because yes, networks can be nested in each other).
When an organisation owns an asset (a stockpile or a network), it will be shared to all the organisation’s members based on their roles and permissions.
Note: Ownerships trickle downwards. This means that if an organisation owns a network, it also owns all the stockpiles and networks inside that network, and so on. In the example above, the organisation owns all stockpiles from 1 to 9 because it owns networks A and B, and network B owns network C.
This not only simplifies the sharing process, because it becomes centralized, but also allows other members to also add their own assets. So you don’t need to do everything by yourself.
