Now! You have your organisation, your roles, and eventually your user groups created. The last step is to link users and user groups to the roles you created so they can inherit the permissions defined in those roles and finally get access to your organisation!

Go to your organisation  page, and in the Members tab. There, click on Assign Role, select a Role, and follow the instructions below.

Users

If you wish to assign a role to a specific user, select the User option in the Assignment Type, enter the FoxStock ID of the user you want to assign the role to and click “Assign Role”. That’s it!

User groups

If you wish to assign a role to a user group, select the User Group option in the Assignment Type, select the user group you want to assign the role to and click “Assign Role”. That’s it!

Discord Roles

Before you proceed, make sure that the Foxstock Discord Bot is inside your Discord server. If not, use the Invitation link  to have it added. You do not need to add any special permissions to the bot; the default ones are sufficient.

We are aware that it can take some time for the bot to sync a Discord server. If you don’t see your Discord roles in the dropdown, please wait a few minutes and try again. If your server is still not showing up after a while, please contact us on our Discord server . Once the bot has been added, don’t forget to refresh the page.

You need the MANAGE_GUILD permission in the Discord server to link a Discord role to a user group. You usually need an administrator role on the Discord server itself to have this permission.

To assign a role to a Discord role, select the Discord Role option in the Assignment Type, select the Discord server where your community is hosted, select the Discord role you want to assign the organisation role to, and click “Assign Role”. That’s it!

Now, members have access to your organisation and can start creating, sharing, and managing stockpiles and networks. This is what we will be tackling in the next section!
